What is an Employer of Record?

An Employer of Record (EOR) is a third-party organization that legally employs workers in a specific country on behalf of another company. The EOR manages employment-related responsibilities — payroll, statutory benefits, taxes, and compliance with local labor laws — while the client retains full day-to-day operational control over the employee's work.

Shadow Payroll

Shadow payroll is a specialized mechanism for companies with employees on international assignments who continue to be paid through their home country. A parallel payroll is run in the host country to calculate and report local taxes and social security obligations — keeping the company compliant in both jurisdictions without the employee being paid twice.
